About Stepping Stones Autism Support Group

Stepping Stones is a local support group based in Sedalia, dedicated to uplifting and including the autistic and disabled community through resources, advocacy, and connection. We strive to create a safe and welcoming space where families, caregivers, educators, and individuals can find guidance, understanding, and a sense of belonging.

My name is Zoie Rice, and I’m honored to serve as the President of this group. I joined Stepping Stones with one mission in mind: to ensure that every person in our community feels heard, supported, and empowered. Too often, families and individuals navigating disability and autism feel isolated — we’re here to change that.

At the heart of Stepping Stones is a vision for a more inclusive world — one that accepts, accommodates, and celebrates every unique individual. Together, we’re building a community that stands up, speaks out, and shows up for one another.
